In class this week, [FengShuiYourRelationships.com] Rebecca said something that has stayed with me all week. She said, “You know, life is not a race. We all know what’s coming at the end of it, so why are we rushing to get there?” Wow, think about it. We can practice being present with all that shows up day by day. Yes, we have much that we need to do on a daily basis in life, but if we don’t allow ourselves to really be present, to be in the moment, we’ll miss out on experiencing our very life! Synchronistically, a couple of days after class, I received an email, announcing that someone in my spiritual community had passed on the day before. Tad was a musician who sang and played like an angel. And there it was. The truth. We all know what’s coming at the end of life. There’s no need to rush through it while we are still here.
As we move into the holiday season, on behalf of Maureen and myself, we invite you to remember to breathe and fully be present whenever you remember to do so. That alone will be an amazing gift you give yourself as well as everyone around you.

We are going on week 4 of our 6 week live global teleclass, Feng Shui Your Relationships~Living in the Flow of Love & Abundance!! I am having such a blast teaching this class with my dear friend and colleague, Rebecca Grado. What a journey this has been for us…meeting amazing kindred spirits from all over the world who are committed to expanding their consciousness. We have been applying the power and wisdom of Feng Shui to relationships and recognizing that the ultimate power to transform our relationships resides within us! And last week we looked at the relationship between love & abundance. Rebecca said something that has stayed with me all week, “Abundance is a vibration”. Wow, I have returned to that idea many times this week, reminding myself that my vibration is determined–minute to minute–by how well I am keeping my mind Feng Shuied. What a fun way to stay in the flow of abundance! When I notice that my energy isn’t as joyful and optimistic as I’d like it to be, no problem. I just do a little decluttering, which allows me to feel better instantly and even breathe more deeply as soon as I replace the cluttered thought with my new, inspired thought. Then it’s really cool to notice the synchronicities that show up, the thumbs up from the Divine as I like to think of them. For example, while we were teaching the class on abundance, I got a voice message from my daughter-in-law telling me that her aunt saw my book and wanted to purchase a copy. I love paying attention to synchronistic happenings because they remind me that when I keep my energy in the high vibe of love and abundance, I am positioning myself to manifest my heart’s desires.

As we continue to tap into the power of the Earth element as it relates to relationships, we revisit one of our favorite images~the pipe! Why the pipe? Well, because the Earth element is all about balance, that’s right, balance.
We are here to receive the Light (Divine energy) so that it can be shared, through us. How does this work? Well, picture a pipe with openings at either end. The opening at the top of the pipe represents our willingness to open to the Light of our Creator~that Light is pure, unlimited love, abundance, generosity, peace, kindness, creativity, etc. You know, the good stuff we’d all like more of. The power of the Earth element assists you to stay open to receive that Light. The more aware and awake we are, the more we turn to the Light to guide us which allows us to live in the flow of ease and effortlessness. This is a Kabbalistic principle and the Kabbalah actually means, “to receive”. Now, the opening at the other end represents our willingness to share the Light with others. As we write in our book, sharing is also a form of Earth energy.

So this week, we invite you to pay attention to your experience of opening to the Light and sharing the Light in your life. Imagine your own “pipe” and see how wide or narrow the openings are at either end. Great! Now let’s apply this principle to relationships. In order for a relationship to be healthy, giving and receiving need to be balanced. If things are out of balance where one person is doing the bulk of the giving & the other person is pretty much the receiver of the energy, ya know what’s going to occur, right? That is a recipe for frustration and resentment. Low, unhealthy energy. So, become aware of how mutually supportive your relationships are and remember to keep the flow of giving and receiving in balance. As you apply this principle to your daily life, cultivating balance within your relationships, you will notice ease and magic showing up increasingly. Try it out and you’ll see what we mean!

Yep. We’re still on the topic of relationships! We love this topic and there are so many Feng Shui insights that can really get your relationships going. Being that we’re in the harvest season, let’s look at what the Earth element has to offer you. Earth element is all about abundance. And when you’re feeling the energy of abundance, it’s a kick in the pants to get you pointed in the right direction in any relationship. Weird thing is, we hardly feel abundant in our relationships. In fact, our cluttered minds enjoy sitting around, focusing on what’s missing in our relationships–you know, if he were just more…or if she would just be less….You know those cluttered thoughts that keep you from enjoying the people you love the most. That kind of thinking definitely creates a lot of reruns of bad events in our minds which, of course, fuels our anxiety even more. In the end, the cluttered mind and its lack of trust can be the source of what makes things fall apart. So let’s use the Earth element’s power for a minute and do just the opposite. Earth is all about releasing worry though building trust. It’s about acknowledging the gifts in life and feeling grateful. So begin by making a little list in your head or on paper about the good things in your relationship. What do you love about your partner, friend, sibling, parent or child with whom you are having trouble? What do they do right? Feel that energy for a minute. Take it in. Embody their goodness in your Being. Now think about what’s not working. Instead of going into a tail spin of anxiety, choose to trust the process. Repeat these words out loud, “I trust that we can work this out.” or “I trust that what ever happens, I’m going to be OK”. Or better yet “what ever happens, it will be in the best interest of all involved”. When you trust in that, the big Kahuna is taking care of you, you know, God and the universe; you can see that you will be OK. You are receiving everything you need right now for the unfoldment of your soul.

When you learn how to tap into the unmanifested realm of energy, you truly can create something out of nothing. This is so helpful when you want to attract a new relationship or transform the energy within your existing relationship(s). In order to understand how to create something out of nothing, let’s look at the dynamics of chi. Energy, or chi, flows back and forth from a non-material form – pure, unlimited energy –to a material state – physical, limited form. Chi flows back and forth between the two – manifested and unmanifested. To conceptualize the properties of chi, think about an apple tree. That great, big tree started out as a teeny, tiny seed. Before the seed took on physical form, it was pure potential energy, in a complete unmanifested state. As a seed, in physical form, it gets planted and then nourished by its surroundings; it begins to grow. As the branches, leaves and fruit form, the tree becomes more yin, more physically defined. Now keep this in mind – that seed, even before it took on physical form, already had the coding to become the full manifestation of the tree! (excerpted from Feng Shui Your Mind).

In our mind, the same principles apply. Just as chi transforms in nature, it will also transform in your mind. You always have the opportunity to create something in the physical world using your thoughts, emotions and ultimately, your imagination. Let’s think about how this principle applies to relationships. If you seeking a new relationship or are wanting to experience transformation in your current relationship(s), why not put the power of Feng Shui to work for you? Here’s how. First of all, you need to spend some time to get really clear about what you want to create or transform. If you are unclear, most likely you will recreate the same old disappointing patterns over and over again. Keep in mind, when you Feng Shui your mind and declutter what is no longer serving you, it is so much easier to become clear about what you want to create. You also recognize you have the power to create something out of nothing.

Remember, our thoughts are the seeds that manifest into reality. When our minds are clear and uncluttered, we naturally perceive the abundance in life, radiating high frequency energy, right? Our high energy boosts our power to activate our dreams in the physical world, where they take root and manifest. So take time to declutter your mind and get really clear about what you want to create in terms of relationships. The crucial part is that you embody the feeling, aka, energy tone that matches the fulfillment of your heart’s desires. Whether you are interested in attracting new love or wanting to experience deeper more profound love with the people in your life right now, your greatest power lies in feeling that you have already successfully created those qualities in your life already. When you emanate that higher energy, you’ve taken a quantum leap. You’re on your way to creating the love you most desire!
